Vishay Intertechnology has launched a brand new bidirectional symmetrical (BiSy) 2-line ESD safety diode within the compact DFN1110-3A package deal with wettable flanks. Saving house over options in SOT packages, the Vishay Semiconductors VBUS05M2-HT5 presents ultra-low capacitance and leakage present for the safety of high-speed information traces towards transient voltage alerts.
Providing a low load capacitance of 0.37 pF typical, the machine is optimised for interface safety together with USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and HDMI in business functions. For automotive functions, the VBUS05M2-HT5 can be accessible in an AEC-Q101 certified model. The safety diode incorporates a low most leakage present of < 0.1 μA on the working voltage of ± 5.5 V, a breakdown voltage of 8.5 V typical at 1 mA, and a most clamping voltage of 18 V at 3.4 A.
The VBUS05M2-HT5 offers transient safety for information traces as per IEC 61000‑4‑2 at ± 20 kV (air and phone discharge).
